Deanna Kopf is a licensed homebirth Certified Professional Midwife with a commitment to holistic, family-centered care.
Deanna Kopf, CPM
Deanna Kopf is the mother three beautiful children and a Certified Professional Midwife. Her first two births were typical hospital births and her third was a wonderful, natural birth at home. Her homebirth in 2007 inspired her to want to help other people achieve their dream of an empowering natural birth, which led her on her path to midwifery. Deanna began her clinical training in 2008 with a CNM in Baltimore. She worked with a busy midwifery practice for 2 years, attending births as a doula and a student midwife, in hospitals and at home. She became a DONA certified birth doula in 2009. In 2010 Deanna began apprenticing with a midwifery practice under both a CNM and a CPM, and became certified as CPM through the Portfolio Evaluation Process (PEP) in 2013. She has attended over 500 homebirths both in Maryland and Pennsylvania. Additionally, Deanna is certified in CPR and neonatal resuscitation, as well as Birth Emergency Skills Training. As part of her training, Deanna also attended a Hypnobabies childbirth education class and has attended many Hypnobabies births.
